Pioneer Behavioral Health to Present at 31st Annual Deutsche Bank Health Care Conference in Boston on May 2, 2006

PEABODY, Mass., April 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pioneer Behavioral Health, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: PIHC) today announced that Bruce Shear, CEO of Pioneer Behavioral Health, will present at the 31st Annual Deutsche Bank Health Care Conference at 7:30 a.m. (Eastern) on May 2, 2006. The Conference will be held at the Sheraton Boston Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts.

Mr. Shear will discuss the Company's three-pronged growth strategy for fiscal 2007, which involves inpatient and outpatient behavioral services, including substance abuse treatment, as well as telephonic and Internet-based support for large organizations such as companies in the hospitality industry and labor unions, and clinical testing for the pharmaceutical industry. Mr. Shear will discuss the Company's Pivotal Research subsidiary, which recently won a contract for a Phase-1 diabetes study, the largest win in Pivotal's history. He will also discuss the Company's expansion efforts in Nevada, including recent wins for the Company's Harmony Healthcare subsidiary and the new Seven Hills Behavioral Institute, a 20,000 square-foot hospital, which will house 60 beds in three separate patient wings, providing inpatient behavioral healthcare and chemical dependency services to this rapidly-growing population.
